6.2.4 upgrade to 7.0.5 the follwoing issues can be seen

1. Edit button still not working( Tried all the known fixes the result s the same.)
2. Recycle the application pool not working
3. Empty the cache not working
4. DNN Event module calendar view not performing as expected when user hovers mouse over the entry, works okay in list view.
This seems like some major issues since version 7 got released and is still a problem in 7.0.5

Am I the only one having a hard time changing the module title on a HTML-module on a fresh install of this release? Seems to me the update button on all module settings pages isn't working...

After installing DNN7 >>> I am trying to open it from visual studio .Net but i face this Message in the Default.aspx.cs page:
Message=Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
when execute the follwing line:
if (PortalSettings.ActiveTab.PageHeadText != Null.NullString && !Globals.IsAdminControl())

I dont know if it's just me, but using 7.0.2 Source and New install, I get a compiler error in MessagingServiceController.cs :

'System.Net.Http.HttpRequestMessage' does not contain a definition for 'CreateErrorResponse' and no extension method 'CreateErrorResponse' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Net.Http.HttpRequestMessage' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)'

This occurs 13 times in this file, but in no other files that are using the same function on a Request -object.

Installing and starting up is done the exact same way as I've always done when starting up a new version.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Does anyone know for sure what .net version for dnn 6 and dnn 7?

FYI

If anyone has the problem with not being able to edit the page, or not being able to add modules it can be resolved by changing the following in the web.config:

change <modules> to <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">

Can I update the ModuleName.dnn file in the starter kit to reflect the new features? I am disappointed this file is so old, I'd like to contribute by upgrading this file.

Problem resolved,
Make sure that the profile property "city" is not flagged as "deleted" for host portal.
In older version of DNN you could set the host and portal user profile properties separate. In 6.2, it all combine under site settings. So if you previously deleted "city" in host profiles, it will not be visible here.

This cause 6.2 profile page not to work, even if logged on as admin, and accessing "my profile" of a different user.

You have to fix this in the table itself, profileproperties.
It's unknown if other "required" profile properties cause the same error.
