I download the following version:- ---------------------------------------- Recommended Download Application 7.1.0 - New Install application, 45936K, uploaded Jul 8 - 9249 downloads ---------------------------------------- It totally full of bugs. It is not able to create a simple page or even more simple the "Sign Out" link throws a very big error, with Visual Studio 2010.

Version 7.1 wouldn't install in a virtual folder, only in root folder, getting a 500 server error due to a URL Rewrite error. To fix it I changed my web.config from urlFormat="advanced" to urlFormat="humanfriendly". Works fine now.

Updated from 7.0.6. New File manager not working at all. New search module not working at all (and have broken my skin). No "Url Field" or ".aspx" removement, which was announced. No url improvements at all. I`m disappointed.

I also got the error "The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint \"FK_TabSettings_Tabs\". Upgrade didn't complete and shows 500 Internal Server Error. After running the SQL query problem solved...

I was hoping that the upgrade from 7.05 fix issues experienced with 6.2.4 to 7.05 that I cant resolve like the edit button not working, unable to add modules from the controlbar, members directory list failure but it hasn't and they remain despite implanting all the fixes\recommendations I've seen in discussion groups, so I cant say this is any improvement.

Tried installing on an XP machine - intaller hang every time. Alright I thought, it is an old xp laptop so maybe that is the issue. Tried installing on windows 2008 R2 web server - dotnetnuke can't connect to database. Other web application connects fine to databases. I know the information is correct. This is harder to install than TYPO3. I think the install script is buggy.

Problem when upgrading from 7.0.5 : {"progress":26,"details":"Une erreur s'est produite - Error: La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet à DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.AddProfessionalPreviewPage(Int32 parentId, String tabPath, String moduleFriendlyName, String tabName, String tabDescription, String smallIcon, String largeIcon) Same error when upgrading from 7.06 !

Upgrading from 7.0.6 gives me the error "The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint \"FK_TabSettings_Tabs\". I attempted this: update PortalSettings set SettingValue = '' where SettingName = 'GettingStartedTabID', and restarted the App Pool, but I was then unable to get the upgrade started again. So, as of now, I am unable to use 7.1.0 due to this error.

Numerous attempts at new CE install showed as successful but trying to access site post installation showed IIS error about missing Getting Started resource. However, new install of v7.0.6 followed by upgrade to v7.1.0 worked flawlessly. Go figure.

Hi guy. I was install DNN 7.1 ; but when edit user account website has error: " Error: is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '-cycles-logo.png' to data type int. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '-cycles-logo.png' to data type int. at ... Upgraded successfully from 07.00.02 to 07.01.00, hosted by GoDaddy -- I strongly recommend people follow the advice to back up files and database before attempting upgrades. Also, some upgrading have customized their installation: any customizing increases potential risk of incompatibility with future versions. In my case, I am only confident with customizing the skin.

Oh my god DNN is so sexy (Scottish accent) * Hi Vijay! *

2 simple sites upgraded fine; but the most important sites with lots of permissions doesn't work at all. Unauthenticated users cannot view modules or menu items/pages intended for them based on permissions. Major breaking change if you use the Unauthenticated Users permissions. Also, DDR menu doesn't show children on dropdown on this site; presumably due to permissions issue as well

The upgrade went fine, everything working ok :)
by Popsikill on Jul 16, 2013 at 5:41 AM
Most instances went fine. But had an error on my most important instance. The index '_dta_index_Files_16_533576939__K3_K1_9' is dependent on column 'Folder'. ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN Folder failed because one or more objects access this column UPDATE: Restored database and deleted manualy the index '_dta_index_Files_16_533576939__K3_K1_9 to solve the issue.

Good job! By the way your new site looks very good!

I ran into the same install problem and noted the fix here: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/Community/Participate/Community-Exchange/cid/302849 But, I've also now hit a problem where it doesn't recognize my custom login module so logins result in an infinite redirect. Beyond that, this version adds a lot of much-needed stuff to DNN - good job to the team!

Trying to upgrade from DNN 7.0.6 and get the following error in upgradestat.log.resources.txt: Error: The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint \"FK_TabSettings_Tabs\". The conflict occurred in database \"twbs\", table \"dbo.Tabs\", column \u0027TabID\u0027.
by TPPerlman on Jul 11, 2013 at 2:34 PM
Can't log in at all after upgrade. I get "A critical error has occurred. An unexpected error has occurred". If I try to log in again, the login window shows 500 Internal Server Error. WAIT TO UPGRADE

After spending a day with configurations and tweaks just to get the software to actually run from Visual Studio 2012, which it still crashes on the database login - and the setup page never displays (though it compiled fine). Then I discovered their forums were offline (so no help there), so I had to give up. I never had issues this bad with versions 4.x. Oh well, I'll try umbraco next.
by MC9000 on Jul 11, 2013 at 3:59 AM
Install went well on my local machine except HTML content with permission restricted to "Unauthenticated Users" does not display anymore. I tried deleting the old module and then adding a new HTML module with permission set to Unauthenticated Users, and continue to have the same problem.
by jkrogers on Jul 10, 2013 at 7:12 PM
no problem except with the registration page. Wecan't registe and the module in the registration page seems to be "Add new user"
