More bugs as always. Fix one thing, break another. Nothing has changed. DNN requires a serious rewrite from the ground up or issue will continue to plague the platform. Even dnnsoftware.com has blaring bugs abound. Crazy.

Password Reset and Password Retrieval broken at 7.1.2. DNN acknowledged these as bugs and says they'll be fixed at 7.2.0.

Upgraded from 6.2.1 to 6.2.8 and then to 7.1.1 as per instructions. No errors reported and "working" but the HTML rich text editor just does not work at all now. The text editor shows text but only fills half or less of the available screen area. Good thing I did not upgrade production! Will be staying with current version for now.

Updated a site that was created on 7.1.1
The update was very fast and I had no issues of any kind.
My impression is that DNN nowadays is a very mature product with a robust and stable base code, which makes me feel confident with also the updates. Of course I still do the backup of the database and IIS folder before any upgrade, but I feel confident in what you guys are producing here!

Can I please ask people with issues to log them at http://dnntracker.atlassian.net so we can try & track this issues down-the majority are having no issue installing so it's probable the issue is environmental & we need more details to debug. Anecdotal reports suggest changing urlFormat="advanced" to urlFormat="humanfriendly" resolves some problems, please try this and post with your issue

Works fine with Windows 7 but doesn't work with Windows Server 2008 Standard edition. I am getting 404 error while visiting website, after installing it successfully.
Tried to fix it, but didn't get any solution.

Previously upgraded two sites to DNN 7.1.1 without issue. When I updated the recent site from 6.1.2 -->6.2.8 --> 7.1.1 -->7.1.2 I could not edit. I thought it was an issue with 7.1.2. However, when I rolled back to 7.1.1 I discovered that I could not edit in this version either. To resolve the issue I changed from control bar to ribbon bar, this may of been the fix in 7.1.2.

One of the main problems with the new version of DotNetNuke is Telerik calendar. The calendar supports only the Gregorian calendar, and it can not be used in other languages

On new install DNN of 07.01.02
“Anecdotal reports suggest changing urlFormat="advanced" to urlFormat="humanfriendly" resolves some problems” solved the 404 error.
Now at stopping point as not able to add modules.
In DotNetNuke_7_0_6_Super_User_Manual search for below heading
Option Two - Insert Module
1. On the Control Bar, hover over the Modules drop down menu and then select Add Existing Mo

Just ran this on a site running 7.0.4 and it ran smoothly. No problems to report. The site though was not running ifinity's url tool ... I understand that a few more steps have to be taken in the upgrade if that module is being used.

Clean install hangs on 90% Creating Superuser - fixed just by refreshing webpage. Also have 404 error then loading Getting Started popup - fixed by setting <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"> to web.config. Unlike 7.0.x, new admin panel works like a charm! Great release, but need some polishing to be useful for everyone.
Any plans to release 7.1.3, or it will be stable 7.2.0 next?

If by "Stable" you mean "BROKEN", and by "Leading CMS on the dot net platform" you mean "Leading pain in the arse CMS" then you're onto something!

Hangs during upgrade - had to restore backup

lready I tried 3 times from scratch; after installation seems to go nicely; I see the the site from behind, but there is this popup that keeps telling me "error 404.0": http://dnndev.me:80/Getting-Started/mid/363?ReturnUrl=http%3a%2f%2fdnndev.me%2f&popUp=true. This has something to do with the setup., when I come from clean 7.0.6 and then upgrade it works. (win 7 sql2008r2)

Big fail on Windows 8.
Installer hangs on "The product is being installed. Thanks for your patience..." forever. I miss the old VB.Net version (it actually worked!). Why is supposed advanced software like this default to SQL Express is beyond me. At least let us install without the buggy installer program!!!

Opera does not support ClickOnce X
To install this application, save it and then open it. Opening it directly from Opera will not work correctly.
