I really don't understand why DNN uses Telerik .NET 3.5 dll's with this release. When the whole project runs on either .NET 4 or 4.5?

It is NOT a stable release. A bunch of annoying bugs that makes this release worthless. Still don`t understand why DNN haven`t released hotfixes.

Sorry -- after years of DNN 5 and 6, version 7 did not install well on a new blank installation. The installation kept going to a blank GettingStarted.aspx page, and would not allow using the administrative or host menus. I tried five times too. Unfortunately, the DNN infrastruture has to carry forward people from many legacy versions. I'm going to seek alternatives. :(

Not sure about the behavior on an upgrade, but a new install seems to work very well with the expected bugs for new major release. Very disappointed to not see any new capabilities in terms of social functionality that was introduced in 6.2.

When upgrading from older versions, be aware that the j-query paths defined in host settings are updated. Also, remove older versions of DDR Menu from your DNN prior to upgrading.
It seems that it is loading slower than previous versions, the content editor, control panel actions & etc.
.NET 4.0 should be handled more gracefully, maybe prompt to remove all unsupported modules from DNN

Superfast upgrades with no errors, and a marked improvement in website speed once running. New UI is a vast improvement on previous efforts, and plays very well with existing skins. I would prefer some color in the icons, but seem to be in a minority on this point.
Those with problems adding modules are advised to check the forums for a fix - it's an easy workaround.

I give 1 star for this release because the 3+ year bug in shared ssl config is still present, I cant believe this feature was released in DNN 4.5 and still NOT fixed (see http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=17535&PROJID=2). Also the IE9 issue with DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider (see http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=22047&PROJID=2) is still unresolved.

DotNetNuke Error
An unhandled error occurred.
< Back to website
Can I look at my error logs somewhere?

Some good ideas, and as always we encourage the had work of those who have put into this release. Well done... but for those who are thinking of running this version. Forget it! Significant bugs that are show stoppers that no doubt will be fixed fast!

'Fixed issue in the Journal that made image thumbnails not clickable'
NO YOU DIDN'T!!!
This makes the Journal module useless unfortunately..
Everything else looks good, thank you for the great release and all the hard work you put in.

You are attempting to add a reference to this module that exists on another site in this group. This module may or may not support sharing across multiple sites - it doesn't explicitly state either way whether it does.
etc..
would be nice if it said WHAT module.

With the edit UI and module drag bugs in Firefox that should have been spotted during testing, I find this version unusable.

I installed this on a scratch DNN 6.2.5 site. So far so good. I love the new UI and soooo want to upgrade my production site to DNN 7 since I'm constantly changing and adding content to pages. I tested using FF 16.0.2 and the latest Chrome and saw zero problems. I do recommend Chrome for managing DNN sites. Tip: Read upgrade docs if your site is running .NET 2.04!!

Having major problems adding new modules - when adding a module with multiple definitions only the first control is output.
It's also annoying when adding/updating module definitions (or modifying settings in general) - the section of the page keeps collapsing every time a change is saved.

Installed ok but the new interface is incredibly slow - it is barely usable in FF and IE.
New drag and drop for adding modules is unusable - in addition the context menu does not show the correct panes for any skins I have tried so I can only add modules by dragging and dropping them.

Install worked great, much better than previous versions! One BIG problem that I noticed right away is the new drag-and-drop feature. This was hyped in the webinar. Works great for adding modules to the page, but does not work at all in IE9/FF16 when draging-and-droping between panes. Will do more testing, but question how much testing was done prior to going GA... KUDOS TO THE AWESOME DNN TEAM!

Opera does not support ClickOnce X
To install this application, save it and then open it. Opening it directly from Opera will not work correctly.
