I am having a problem with a fresh install of the RC build on Windows 8.1 Professional. I have been working with DNN since the version 4 days and did the same setup for this new website. The install completes with no error messages but when I try to go to the site I get a screen containing only the DNN logo, the text "DNN Error" and a link "Return to Site". I have been having the same problem with all of the DNN 8 Betas and suspect it's my machine. Where can I find info on checking for the new requirements (ASP.Net 4.5.1, ASP.Net MVC 5.1.1 and ASP.Net WebAPI 2.1)? I have been looking but have not found anything. Also, I am not sure where to post this as there is no "Discussions" tab. Thanks in advance, Chuck R.

After upgrading from previous Beta build: Assembly Load Trace: The following information can be helpful to determine why the assembly 'Newtonsoft.Json, Version=4.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed' could not be loaded. *****CHANGE****** <assemblyIdentity name="Newtonsoft.Json" publicKeyToken="30AD4FE6B2A6AEED" /> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-4.5.11" newVersion="4.5.1.1" /> ****TO***** <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="Newtonsoft.Json" publicKeyToken="30ad4fe6b2a6aeed" culture="neutral" /> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-7.0.0.0" newVersion="7.0.0.0" /> </dependentAssembly> in web config fixes issue

Thank you for the feedback. We have a fix for this issue that will be included in the final release. Basically, some logic was not getting executed to apply the incremental web.config changes. We have fixed the logic so we shouldn't have this issue in the final build. As you point out, manually editing the web.config will fully resolve the issue.
